Simon Wall
Managing Director
Simon's skills are in marketing and sales. Born and raised on a farm in the Manawatu, Simon attended Nelson College before going onto Massey University where he graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Marketing. After completing a post graduate diploma in Business Administration he married Philippa and they then travelled overseas working in the UK and America before returning to New Zealand in 1983. After working for two private companies in general sales management and marketing roles Simon started Identity Solutions in 1993 providing label, printing and IT solutions to the New Zealand and Pacific Apparel industries.
“I strongly believe offering our clients the best possible product and service available. I want us to be honest at whatever we do and know that if we are then we will be successful. I have really enjoyed developing the Identity Solutions business and we have a strong team of very skilled, passionate and motivated people who are enthused at what they do”.
Simon and Philippa have three teeange boys and one dog, Louis. Living in St Heliers Simon enjoys snow skiing, playing tennis, golf and the odd spot of hunting. “With three boys it is always busy around our home and it keeps us active trying to stay ahead of them and at the same time keeping them focused on important things like study”.

Warren Jones
Business Manager

Warren is married to Jacq and they have two great boys and a westie dog. When time allows he enjoys golf, cycling, reading and socializing with friends, drinking the odd Pinot Noir and chatting about life. He is also a director for Fore J Productions who have successfully organized and run The Christchurch Casino Golf Masters, a charity golf event which has raised over $600,000 for local charities during the last 8 years.
His natural ability to liaise with people across all levels means he is able to motivate people, promote team building, forge new relationships and support exiting ones, all with a proven record of achievements.

Stephen Ward
idTechnology Manager
Stephen, having just moved to Glenfield to spend more time with his daughter Ashley and get the occasional home cooked meal, has also taken on the never ending task of home renovating. When time does allow he is either researching some supposedly interesting computer subject, playing tennis, or reminiscing with friends about the good old days of the ‘Rag Trade’.
Stephen has been involved in the Apparel Industry since 1972, having seen the highs and the lows, yet still remains very passionate about the industry, and what it has to offer. Starting as a Cutter, eventually becoming a Production Manager for some of New Zealand’s leading fashion companies, gives him the abilities now as the IT Manager to understand the customer’s requirements of software, and offer advice outside of his specific role. Passing on some of his skills and knowledge to those who aspire to make the Apparel Industry their chosen career is important says Stephen, as to not pass it on seems a waste.
Being pro-active by bringing to a customer’s attention a potential future IT problem, offering a total IT solution so that the customer can focus on what they do best, and adding value to customer relationships by utilizing experience and understanding are prime objectives that Stephen aims to not only achieve on a daily basis, but also improve upon as each day brings new challenges.

Elaine Ching

Elaine initially joined the IDS family in October 2008 in a Customer Support role which involved printing labels and establishing communication between overseas suppliers and logistics companies. In April 2009, Elaine also took on the role of Accounts and Administration Assistant allowing her to put her Accounting degree and previous experience in accounts and taxation to good use.
Elaine is polite and easy to deal with, her friendly nature and multilingual ability has always ensured the needs of her clients are effectively communicated and understood by overseas manufacturers, so if you have any enquiries regarding the outcome of a product, don’t hesitate to contact her.
